The policy is written for public trust, operational clarity and alignment with the platform's current Stage 1 positioning. ## Core principles 1. CrewPortGlobal does not charge seafarers recruitment, placement or employment-access fees. 2. Matching support may be assisted by automation, but shortlist presentation and material candidate actions remain subject to human review. 3. Candidate consideration is based on professional relevance, readiness and lawful client requirements. 4. CrewPortGlobal does not guarantee placement, contract award or embarkation. ## Stage 1 platform position At Stage 1, CrewPortGlobal operates as a digital maritime workflow and documentation platform. The platform may support candidate discovery, profile structuring, document review and shortlisting workflows for shipowners, vessel operators, ship managers and authorized maritime employers. CrewPortGlobal does not represent itself as a licensed seafarer recruitment or placement service unless and until such approvals or partner structures are formally established where legally required. ## Candidate intake and readiness CrewPortGlobal may collect and structure candidate information including rank, department, sea service, certificates, travel-document status, medical validity, availability and other professionally relevant maritime data. Where documents are uploaded, the platform may flag them as missing, incomplete, expired, inconsistent or operationally ready for review purposes. Document readiness support is not a substitute for employer due diligence, flag-state checks, port-state requirements, visa controls or statutory manning obligations. ## Matching methodology Candidate matching may take into account: - vessel type and rank relevance; - license and certificate validity windows; - experience profile and language fit; - availability timing; - client-specific lawful operational requirements; - document readiness and response quality. AI or rules-based systems may assist with ranking, filtering, normalization or drafting, but they do not replace final human oversight for shortlist presentation. ## Non-discrimination baseline CrewPortGlobal aims to support lawful, professional and non-discriminatory candidate handling. The platform should not be used to prefer or exclude candidates on unlawful grounds unrelated to legitimate job requirements. If a client request appears discriminatory, abusive or inconsistent with applicable law or public trust commitments, CrewPortGlobal may pause, reject or escalate the request for review. ## Client presentation and shortlist handling Candidate profiles may be presented to business clients only where there is a legitimate operational purpose and an appropriate trust or compliance basis to do so. Presentation of a candidate to a client does not create an employment contract and does not guarantee an offer. Clients remain responsible for interviews, suitability decisions, employment contracts, wages, travel, visas, repatriation, safe manning, MLC obligations and all employer-side compliance duties. ## Complaints and escalation Seafarers and business users may raise concerns about improper fees, misleading vacancy handling, discriminatory treatment, data misuse or document-handling issues through the public Complaint Handling Procedure. CrewPortGlobal may temporarily suspend matching activity while a material complaint is reviewed. ## MLC alignment note This policy is intended to support a no-fee, complaint-aware and traceable workflow model consistent with the direction of MLC-focused maritime recruitment safeguards, including the spirit of Regulation 1.4 and Standard A1.4. It is not legal advice and does not replace jurisdiction-specific regulatory review. *** Add File: /var/www/gtc-form/docs/crewportglobal/08_kyc_kyb_policy.md # CrewPortGlobal — KYB Policy for Business Clients ## Purpose This document explains how CrewPortGlobal approaches Know Your Business verification for shipowners, vessel operators, ship managers, crew managers and other business users requesting access to candidate workflows or commercial services. ## Why KYB is required CrewPortGlobal may process seafarer profiles, documentation status, client requests, operational data and business communications. Before granting or maintaining access to certain workflows, CrewPortGlobal may need to verify that a business user is genuine, authorized and acting for a legitimate maritime purpose. ## Scope KYB may apply to: - shipowners and beneficial owners interacting directly with the platform; - ship managers and crew managers; - operators, charter-side representatives or authorized agencies; - consultants or representatives acting on behalf of a maritime business client. ## Verification signals CrewPortGlobal may request or review information such as: - registered legal name and trade name; - jurisdiction of incorporation or registration; - company registration number; - office address and contact details; - corporate website or operational references; - authorized signatory or representative identity; - evidence of authority to act for the business; - sanctions, watchlist or adverse media screening results where relevant; - beneficial ownership details where proportionate to the risk profile. ## Risk-based review Business verification may be handled using a risk-based approach. Additional review may be required where there are concerns about identity mismatch, unusual payment instructions, sanctions exposure, high-risk jurisdictions, unverifiable ownership or inconsistent communication patterns. ## Access controls CrewPortGlobal may delay, limit or refuse access to candidate information, commercial discussions or platform functions until satisfactory KYB review is completed. If material concerns remain unresolved, CrewPortGlobal may suspend or terminate business access. ## Ongoing refresh KYB is not necessarily a one-time event. CrewPortGlobal may request updated information when there is a material change in ownership, control, representative authority, billing profile, jurisdiction, sanctions exposure or operational behavior. ## Data handling KYB materials are handled as compliance and trust records and may be retained for audit, security, contractual or legal purposes in line with applicable privacy and retention rules. ## Reservations CrewPortGlobal may use third-party providers, internal review, open-source intelligence or documentary checks to support KYB decisions. Completion of KYB does not represent a warranty of financial standing, solvency or legal compliance by the client. It is a trust and risk-control measure only. *** Add File: /var/www/gtc-form/projects/crewportglobal/public/legal/recruitment-and-matching-policy/index.md --- title: CrewPortGlobal — Recruitment and Matching Policy nav_label: Matching Policy category: Trust Center description: Human-reviewed matching rules, non-discrimination baseline and MLC-aligned handling of candidate presentation. trust_note: CrewPortGlobal does not charge seafarers recruitment, placement or employment-access fees. summary_cards: - title: No-fee access model text: Seafarers are not charged to create a profile, enter the matching workflow or be considered for relevant opportunities. - title: Human review remains in control text: Automation may assist with structuring and ranking, but shortlist presentation and material actions remain human-reviewed. - title: Professional relevance only text: Matching support should be based on lawful operational criteria, document readiness and professional suitability. related_links: - label: Seafarer Candidate Agreement href: https://crewportglobal.com/legal/seafarer-candidate-agreement/ - label: No Recruitment Fees Policy href: https://crewportglobal.com/legal/no-recruitment-fees/ - label: Complaint Handling Procedure href: https://crewportglobal.com/legal/complaints/ --- # CrewPortGlobal — Recruitment and Matching Policy This document defines how CrewPortGlobal handles candidate intake, data structuring, document readiness review, matching support and shortlist presentation for maritime employers.
